Stunning wooden sculptural compositions can be found along the way. The Schellen Ursli Path is another famous trail that leads to the hut. It is no less remarkable for those who want to enjoy the picturesque open spaces of the city.

St. Moritz can boast of the fact that on its territory there is an elegant sample of modern architecture. We are referring to the Chesa Futura, a structure in the biotech style. The peculiarity of this building is that it combines ancient canons with modern technologies of construction. Wood – the most ancient building material – was used to create its bizarre contemporary form. This is a sort of union of modernity and antiquity, technology and nature. It is noteworthy, that the wooden blocks of the building are changing their color under the influence of weather conditions and time. It gives an impression that the construction “grows old” together with tree and foliage but does not have an effect on its functionality.

In the resort city and its surroundings there are several excellent religious sites. Among them, the Burial Church of Santa Maria is one worthy of being highlighted. It is located in the town named Pontresina. Despite its small size, the shrine is attractive for its vastness and its equally gorgeous interior decoration. Nearby there is one more historic monument which is a worthy place to visit. It is the Burgturm Spaniola tower. The wonderful Alpin Museum is also situated here in Pontresina. It offers an exhibition which covers the traditional way of life of the local people over the centuries and shows their crafts.
