One of the main landmarks of Muenster is the City Museum (or Stadtmuseum) which exposition is devoted to the most significant events of the city history. Among religious sights and landmarks of the city the St. Paul's Cathedral is of the greatest interest for tourists and city guests. The cathedral was built in the second part of the 13th century. The treaty put an end to the Thirty Year’s War. The building is of significant architectural value. Its frontage is decorated with graceful stained glass windows and arches. Numerous statues scattered all over the city are among the remarkable excursion objects of the city. Muenster counts more than 50 statues on its territory.
