1. The Canary Islands is a year-round resort, where travelers can have vacations at any time of year. Even in winter the water temperature at most beach resorts is comfortable for swimming. However, hikers are advised not to plan their trip for summer.
2. It’s better to go out to the natural reserve in the morning or in the evening, when the sun is not so hot. Be sure to take a sun protector, as you can burn even during a usual walk.
3. Islands of the archipelago are connected with excellent ferry service; speedboats cruise between major islands. Vacationers can move freely without baggage or together with their car that would be the ideal solution for large companies.
4. The main form of public transport at larger islands is bus; tourists always have an opportunity to take a taxi too. Active guests prefer to rent a car to have a complete freedom of movement throughout the archipelago.
6. The world's smallest hotel, Punta Grande, can be found on the island of El Hierro. A room there has to be booked for a few months before the trip; otherwise you would admire this unusual place only from afar.
7. In all major hotels and inns the mains voltage is 220 V; there are outlets of European standard everywhere. Those who expect to stay in small hotels are advised to take adapters, since the voltage can be 110 V.
