Another outstanding peculiarity of the Union Station is the charming inner yard. In warm seasons it is full of blooming roses. The old fountains, decorated with mosaics, have also saved in the yard. The Union Station is the central station of the city. Every day it has about 60 000 passengers.
The first station was built there in the 19th century and called La Grand. Today’s building has appeared at the place of the old one in 1939. In 1980 the railway station was included in a list of the state meaning monuments. Visitors of Los Angeles like to come at this place.
