Los Cabos International Airport is located in the city of San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. SJD is the sixth busiest Mexican airline hub. The airport handles over 5 million passengers annually. There are one runway and two passenger terminals – T1 (for domestic flights) and T2 (for international flights).

There are two car rental companies at the international airport: America, Thrifty. The Thrifty agency is located in the airport terminal. The vehicles are taken from the parking lot near the terminal. The office is open from 6 am till 8 pm.

The America car rental company organizes shuttle transfer to the place where cars are taken. Their customer service office is situated in the vicinity of the airport, so it doesn’t take much time to reach it. America car rental is open for customers 24/7.

The rental price includes an airport fee, local taxes, car accident and car theft insurance. The companies don’t limit mileage of cars and allow their customers to make amendments to rental terms as well as cancel the order for free.

The agencies have standard requirements for drivers: at least 21 years of age, at least 1 year of driving experience, an identity card, a driver’s licence, a credit card to pay for the order.

Long-term and short-term parking, hotels nearby

The airport parking lots are closed at night. Parking rates for open and roofed parking spaces are the same. The parking lots are located near the terminals.

The nearest hotels are Hotel Aeropuerto Los Cabos, Best Western Aeropuerto, (1.2 km away from the airport), Mayan Resorts, Pueblo Bonito, Plaza Los Arcos. There’s transfer from the airport to the hotels.
