Locals treat travelers with great caution. They are always polite, fellowship, and happy to help. However, local residents also expect travellers to be polite and respectful. Any embarrassing or negligent behavior can greatly offend the townspeople. When it comes to topics for conversations, the locals do not like discussing culture and religion with visitors. In their point of view there are far more interesting subjects, such as literature, art and, of course, sports.
Luxembourg is famous for its colorful carnivals and festivals. On Easter here is organized an interesting celebration called Eimaischen. Its main event is a massive gastronomic fair, which is organized on a fish market. In addition to freshly baked pastries, seafood and sweets, visitors can buy interesting handicrafts, souvenirs and decorations for their homes. Burgsonndeg festival, which is held annually on February, is one more sourse of joy and entertainments for both locals and visitors. Prior to the beginning of Lent Luxembourg residents arrange a colorful Carnival. The streets of the city are decorated with bright balloons and garlands. For three days main squares of the city become the location for mass festivities. Children's holidays named Kannerfuesbals are organized several times a year. On holidays people wear original costumes and treat friends with «Les pensees brouillees» biscuits.
