Anantara to Open a Hotel in Ubud, Bali

News Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas continues its expansion on the Indonesian island of Bali. This time, the famous hotelier will open a hotel in Ubud, which is set to start operating in the middle of 2022. This is going to be the third resort by this hotelier on the popular island.

What makes Ubud a good place to visit? This is an established center of Balinese culture and home to many skilled local artisans. Gorgeous Hindu temples, rainforests, charming rice fields, and spectacular views of Bali make this place a good destination for adventurous travelers. Anantara Ubud Bali Resort is located in Payangan, a village in the traditional Balinese style. It takes around 35 minutes by car to reach the central part of Ubud from the hotel and 1.5 hours to reach Bali International Airport.

The new hotel will have 85 guest rooms and poolside villas with one or two bedrooms. The design of the hotel is calming and tries to reflect the serene beauty of this place. It is easy to notice elements of traditional culture in décor. Travelers who would like to stay longer in this paradise have an opportunity to buy one of the 15 Anantara residences that are also a part of the resort. The prices start from US$650,000.

Guests of the hotel and residences have several exclusive restaurants to choose from. Anantara is a luxury chain, and so it offers only the finest sustainable food mostly cooked from organic local produce. Much of this food is cultivated on the nearby green hills, and so it takes very little time to get ingredients delivered from farm to table. The menus are nutritionally balanced and healthy. The resort also features a gym, an infinity swimming pool, a fitness center, and several meeting spaces.

The spa at Anantara hotel in Ubud deserves a separate mention. It has treatment rooms for couples and single visitors, several foot massage pots, and a hair salon. Different wellness practices are based on the Balinese beauty traditions. The relaxing and spiritual design of the spa makes it easier to forget about all troubles and rejuvenate. Travelers with children can keep their little ones fascinated and occupied at the kids’ and teens’ clubs while they are relaxing. Finally, visitors who enjoy exploring surroundings can visit such local landmarks as the Hanging Gardens, spectacular rice terraces, and the Puri Saren Royal Palace.
