New Projects by Holiday Inn in Europe Revealed

Although the hospitality business is down everywhere, IHG Hotels & Resorts doesn’t plan to stop and continues opening new hotels in different parts of the world. This time, the internationally famous hotelier signed 11 Holiday Inn Express hotels in Europe. These hotels will open in 2021 and coming years. Such an aggressive expansion is a part of the global strategy of the Holiday Inn Express brand in the region.

The popular hotel brand offers a variety of options for both leisure and business travelers. Holiday Inn Express is one of the fastest-growing brands in the IHG portfolio with more than 277 hotels already operating in Europe and another 60 to open in the coming years. Some of the new hotels, namely, the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Brussels and the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Ajaccio (France), will open their doors already this summer. Holiday Inn Express hotels try to stay open and provide services to guests no matter what. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic when most hotels in Europe were closed more than 80% of the brand’s hotels were allowed to continue their work.

In 2021, Holiday Inn Express showed its strength once again, expanding to new European locations. City centers, airports, motorways, seaside locations – IHG tries to offer quality service in different locations. Here are some of the new hotels. The Holiday Inn Express hotel in Nice, Grand Arenas is conveniently located in a business district full of offices and retail shops. This hotel is open in a new building that is currently under construction. The 131-room hotel is a simple and comfortable place to stay.

The company’s hotel in Cornwall, full name Holiday Inn Express Bodmin – Victoria Junction, the UK, is mostly targeted at leisure guests. This hotel enjoys a prime destination in a new service station in the city center, so guests have multiple restaurants and retail shops nearby. IHG will also open a hotel in Basel, the third-largest city in Switzerland. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Basel – Allschwil is open in mixed-use development and features 220 rooms (85 suites included).

Two new hotels will be opened in airports, namely, in Ankara and Rome. Finally, the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Liverpool is a dual-brand hotel on Duke Street. The Holiday Inn Express shares the building with IHG’s brand – Hotel Indigo. All the mentioned hotels will offer such signature services of the brand as the complimentary Express Start Breakfast, free Wi-Fi, speedy check-in, and power showers.
