Kimpton Will Open the First Hotel in France

IHG continues expanding its luxury boutique hotel brand, Kimpton, and announces the first property in France. The luxury hotel in Paris will start operating already this spring. Famous for its sophisticated yet playful design and emphasis on fine dining, Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants is a worthy addition to the City of Light.

The new Paris hotel will be open in the building that once hosted the renowned Samaritaine de Luxe luxury department store. The heritage building on the Boulevard des Capucines is perfectly suitable for a boutique hotel. The famous Opera district of the French capital is known for its elegance and luxury, making this location a fantastic choice for the debut Kimpton hotel in the country. The new hotel in Paris will have 125 contemporary rooms and 25 exclusive suites. The infrastructure will also include a spa center, an indoor swimming pool, gym, and several treatment rooms.

It was decided to keep the original façade in the Art Nouveau style that dates back to 1917, as well as the unique elevator, and the signature staircase of the building. French architect Charles Zana is responsible for the restoration and reimagination of the hotel’s building. In line with the hotel’s outer design, guest rooms will also have distinct Art Deco vibes that will take visitors to the 30s of the previous century. Charming balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows, carefully selected artworks, and chic furniture create a truly Parisian atmosphere.

Dining and cocktail experiences at Kimpton are something that is not to be missed. The hotel’s restaurant may become a popular dining venue in the neighborhood. It is particularly interesting to visit it during the signature Social Hour, a daily feature at Kimpton hotels. This is the time when visitors can try interesting local food and drinks. There is also a restaurant serving California-inspired food on the ground floor of the building. Don’t forget to get to the tenth floor and enjoy fantastic 360-degree views of Paris in the rooftop bar. This bar serves various cocktails and fitting appetizers.

In its statement, IGH expressed the company’s delight regarding the launch of the first Kimpton hotel in Paris. The capital of France is famous for its elegance, culture, and art. This is an ideal city for the stylish and relaxed Kimpton brand. This hotel brand is not new – it was established in 1981, aiming city centers, scenic places around the world, and beachside resorts.
