Choice Hotels Will Debut in India
Choice Hotels will finally step into Indian hotel market by opening a chain of budget accommodations throughout the country. For this purpose the hotelier will work in conjunction with Parsvnath Developers – the local realty company.
Parsvnath has recently launched a subsidiary company, Parsvnath Hotels. The aim of the newly created organization is to detect small hotels that already operate, agree with their owners, and refurbish these properties. Choice Hotels will act as a managing organization.
The first hotel in Delhi will start operating already this month. This will be a 40 guestroom accommodation for budget savvy travellers. The company plans to open additional 5-7 budget hotels by the end of March 2012. After this Parsvnath and Choice Hotels plan to add 10 hotels each quarter. All hotels will be not big ones and will have 35-60 guestrooms.
Parsvnath has also commented they will not buy hotels. They have suggested a profit sharing model to hotels’ owners. The company has already concluded 12 agreements and prepares them for rebranding.
