Sofia is the city with history of more than three thousand years. Scientists suppose that the Serdi (the Thracian race) created it at the end of the 8th century or maybe earlier. Surrounded by the Balkan Mountains from the northern side and by the Vitosha Mountains from the southern side, the capital of Bulgaria can really boast of picturesque landscapes. Sofia is rich in old Orthodox churches, mainly of neo-Byzantine style, but there you may also find the mosque, which by the way is still opened – it's the result of Ottoman's influence.

Car Parking Info

A large parking lot is located in front of the old terminal building. A new multi-level parking garage providing 820 parking spaces is linked to the departures area of the new passenger terminal. The car parks are open non-stop.

Driving by car from/to Sofia

Starting from Orlov Most, the bridge at the centre point of the city, drive towards the Tsarigradsko Shose boulevard and then follow signs first to Christopher Columbus boulevard and then to the airport.
