Atlanta is located in the North of Georgia. Its landscape is represented by hills wedged between mountains and a flat coastal plain. Due to its unique geographical position Atlanta used to be the transportation centre of the South. All types of transport have always been highly developed there: railroads, highways and airport that made Atlanta accessible to other parts of the country and contributed to the city serving as a crossroads one.
